Crimson Coupon App
Crimson Coupons is an initiative which allows businesses to partner with HSA Marketing to offer deals on their products to Harvard students. Students can take advantage of the deals as well as get rewards for using multiple coupons.  Right now this whole process is done with physical coupons. This makes tracking usage difficult, if not impossible. A solution to this problem could be a web app that sends coupons via text or email straight to students’ phones.

  • Good
App can send texts or emails successfully

  • Better
    Database integration of coupons

  • Best
Once students receive notifications, they must click on a link that leads to a site. They must now click a button to reveal the coupon on site. The app backend tracks the number of button clicks

Bag Delivery Confirmation
HSA Cleaners provides a laundry service, whereby students can request their laundry to be picked-up, washed, and delivered right back to their door within 2 days. Occasionally when delivering laundry, delivery associates from HSA Cleaners will deliver bags to the wrong door.  In order to prevent this, HSA Cleaners has proposed to add QR codes to their laundry bags, as well as to the doors of students with the laundry plan.

Create an iOS or Android app, which will associate a QR code with a room, and another with a bag, and give confirmation when a bag is being delivered to the correct room.  While this app will eventually be integrated with Cleaners’ current delivery app you can just create this program as a standalone.

  • Good
Generates and stores QR code for door and bag. Matches QR codes for door and bag, confirming delivery.

  • Better

  • Best
Notifies when a friend is nearby. Send message through app. Integrate with recommendations from content
